About the T-47 Sandspeeder

The Sandspeeder is one of several non-canon, climate-adapted military variants of the T-47 Airspeeder. Designed for desert worlds such as Tatooine or Jakku, this version adds engine filtration to protect moving surfaces from sand, enhanced cooling systems, and long-range radar intended for navigation and survival during sandstorms.

About this MOC

This MOC models the distinctive wedge-shaped form in tan and dark tan and includes four poseable air brake flaps for flight or landing positions, along with detailed rear cooling fins. The repulsorlift housings and laser cannons are more sealed than those on the Snowspeeder to better protect them from sand and debris. Following established lore, the rear harpoon has been replaced with a light repeating blaster cannon better suited to desert combat.

I’ve designed five custom Incom T-47 variants, spanning the civilian models sold in both consumer and commercial forms across the galaxy, the Hidden Path conversion seen in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the Rebel Alliance’s iconic Snowspeeder on Hoth, along with its desert-tuned Sandspeeder counterpart.
