U-864 was a German Type IXD2 U-boat during World War II, known for its mission to transport advanced technology and materials to Japan. In February 1945, it was sunk by the British submarine HMS Venturer off the coast of Norway, marking the only known instance of one submarine sinking another while both were submerged.
