The Prinz Eugen was a heavy cruiser of the Kriegsmarine in World War 2.
Built from 1936 to 1940 in Kiel, she was the thierd cruiser of the Admiral-Hipper-class.
Together with the Bismarck she set in May 1941 sail for Unternehmen Rheinübung and was a combatant of the battle of the Denmark strait.
After that she took a lot of other Operations, like Cerberus and she always go out wihtout heavy damage, so she got the nickname “lucky prince”
The Prinz Eugen was the largest vessel of the Kriegsmarine, which survived world war two.
Given to the USA, she was used as test subjet in Oeration Crossroads.
Her wreck is today good visible upside down at the kwaejin-atoll in the pacific.
